Default I got spoiled by the Blu... What about you?

OK. I just finished watching Prison break season one that I rented from Netflix and since they don't have season 2 on Blu yet I ended up renting DVD instead and boy, my eye have to adjust to the picture quality. Don't get me wrong. the DVD picture quality was exellent (Fox always does a good job with their products) but it's not blu you know what I mean. That's crytal clear PQ is just not there.
Let's hope I won't have problem finding more blu to rent in 2008.

I agree too. I am so spoiled by the excellent PQ and AQ of a properly done Blu-ray. That's why I get so frustrated with Warner when they short change Blu-ray with their crappy HD VD ports - and especially when they leave off Lossless audio.

But I digress. Yes, I am spoiled by Blu-ray and there is no turning back.

Watching Blu ray movies just makes you realise how rubbish normal DVD looks in comparison. Open Season pretty much ruined all my other DVDs the PQ is just staggering. Blu ray justifies buying an expensive HDTV alone.

Before BD came out I was thinking I would keep my DVD collection and BD would be for new and absolutely must haves (that I watch often). But I now know that it won't happen.

i don't even think of blu-ray as high def anymore, its standard to me, so i think of it as standard definition. therefore, standard def. is low def.

I went from a Sunlight burned SDTV screen, to a Full HD 1080© Blu-ray laptop.

Everything else looks like crap now.
Upscales *normal* stuff with the best of them... but NOTHING can compare to Blu-ray!

I still watch the DVD's that I own.Such as TV shows and the movies that have yet been released on Blu-Ray.But I no longer buy movies on DVD.The picture is so mutch better on Blu-Ray and the sound is out of this world. Why would I continue buying movies on DVD when I can buy the best? Yeah did feel kind of funny when I picked up The Simpsons last week when sitting next to The Blu-Ray edition was The DVD version that had a price tag of $14.99 while the Blu-Ray version had a price tag of $29.99 But I just told myself well The Blu-Ray maybe more money, but I'm also getting a High quality version of The Simpsons that will have a crisper picture and a mutch better sound then the DVD.

I went through my DVD collection and there's a lot I need to get rid of a lot of them. I'll put them Amazon but I know I won't get much at all on single DVD except TV series boxset.

Well, may be sometimes next year once Blu-ray takes over Hi-def media we'll see two for $10 at Walmart like they have with DVD right now.

I weep knowing that the vast majority of my 3000+ dvd collection will soon be obsolete.
