Because people are extra sensitive, apparently:

[Show spoiler]I wanted to like this so much. I liked the trailer, but the movie really just falls apart during the final act. Also, I don't think the movie ever gave the audience a reason to care about her twin.

[Show spoiler]Tag what, exactly? The fact that I thought the movie wasn't that good or the fact that she has a twin, which was in every single trailer and TV spot?

Saying she has a twin isn't a spoiler. It's part of the premise. It's like saying Jurassic World has dinosaurs. Or there's a ship in Titanic.

If you're looking to go in to this totally blind, then why are you browsing the internet at all about it?

spoiler tag the spoiler
why would you spoiler tag your opinion?

some people avoid trailers because of spoilers

This is playing at my local AMC, which I find a little surprising given that the film has barely been promoted. Looks sort of interesting but I'll wait for the Blu-ray release. I enjoy movies like this so I think it'll be a safe blind buy. Hey, if I blind bought THE VISIT, anything is possible

Natalie Dormer is hot as hell, and the subject matter interests me. I'll skip it in theaters but I'll buy it on blu-ray if the price is decent.

I caught this film in a preview screening - assuming nothing changed in what was brought to screen for release (didn't see the finished product), its quite a nice watch. certainly provides the necessary creep factor and sets the stage very well. where it suffers is the narrative even after overlooking some loopholes. the pacing slows terribly in the middle act, simply because the story seems to exist only to serve as padding to the final act. If the middle part of the film had been addressed well, this would have made for a great finished product. I somehow cannot understand why critics gang up against a flick to the point of tearing it apart - why such a holistic view of something that attempts to entertain and does so for almost 70% of its time ? No one is perfect and so is this film. Does it scare ? Yes. Does it creep you out ? Yes. Is it an interesting story ? Yes. Are all the characters fully flushed out ? No. Is it necessary ? No. So give it a watch, people. Chances are you will be entertained and disregard the critics.

I initially went to Best Buy to buy this but came out with The Hallow instead as it was their last BD copy. I'll grab this probably on Friday or Saturday.

We watched this last night and found it rather entertaining and a fun watch but more importantly, I enjoyed the detail of the surround activity.

I did the same thing and I'm happy with my choice. Like you, I'll most likely grab The Forest sometime over the weekend
