This has been up to preorder on Base.com for a few weeks now, strangely enough. Nowhere else yet, but have heard from a few places that November 13th is the release date.

https://www.base.com/buy/product/doc...-bbcbd0406.htm

However, because they're releasing it in November, "Twice Upon A Time" will not be included, and will instead be released in the Series 11 Box Set. I really thought they would've waited until early in the new year to release Series 10's box set now that Capaldi is leaving, Moffat is leaving, and virtually everything is starting afresh. It's going to be so weird to have one Capaldi/Moffat episode in Series 11's set, and the rest with a different team.

I doubt Twice Upon A Time will be on the Series 11 set for the exact reason you state.

Matt Smith's last episode wasn't in a Season set and didnt just get added on to the next one. There's no precedent for what you're suggesting.

It wouldn’t be a Doctor Who boxset without BBC changing something to make sure the Series isn’t uniform. In this case opting for a smaller case and a white spine rather than black.

Slightly old news apparently but I've just seen Jodie Whittaker's official costume:

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...132815734.html

It's just terrible. Not Colin baker terrible but very poor.

Apparently it's "gender-neutral" so nice to know our suspicions re Chris Chibnall going full BBC Diversity Charter on the show's ass have no foundations in reality.

Yeah. How dare I talk about Doctor Who on a Doctor Who thread. Edit: Maybe I should go to The Thing thread which has these last couple of days descended into pages of (actually interesting) VHS nostalgia and post something about Die Hard...

Unless Chibnall surprises us with quality stories and characters the show is doomed and I give it two more series max. Which is incredibly depressing even to consider.

You are the second person I've heard say that. Which, not including the three random Youtube videos I've watched, makes it two like and four dislike.

Edit: The outfit just looks a somewhat goofy and not befitting for a 2,000 year old adventurer/intellectual/warrior.

To me its more evidence that a show I've loved since the tail end of the Tom Baker era is about to make a seriously misguided change in direction that'll make John Nathan Turner's mid-term errors in judgment look positively benign.

Yeah, because none of these guys look “goofy”...

Personally I think she looks great. Regarding the “intellectual” comment, have you spent much time around young academics? She’d fit right in.

I think she looks just fine, and, unlike the JNT era, she'll likely vary her wardrobe; as opposed to wearing what is effectively a costume.

I think she looks pretty cool to be honest, so there we go.

In other Doctor Who news, I spotted this guy in the shop yesterday:

Well we've had Tommy Cooper (Smith), so I guess Mork was inevitable, but with past Doctors including Chico Marx (Troughton), Harpo Marx (Baker, T.) and Zeppo Marx (Tennant), she really should have gone for the really bold choice and gone Groucho so we'd have the full set.

You mean, apparently, the writer of that article for yahoo chose to call it gender neutral.

Jodie's Mork is making me forget all about Mindy.

It never ceases to amaze me how triggered some folk can get by something as harmless as gender neutrality.

It's... fairly Colin Baker-terrible. I'm glad I won't be watching Doctor Who again until the Doctor rediscovers his grandfatherly bits.
