Default Movie Movie (1978) - George C. Scott

Hey folks, I just wanted to give a shout out to this film that I blind bought recently and watched today...

It's a hilarious spoof of old 1930s-40s style movies done in a style that is similar to Grindhouse, with two main features plus a fake trailer for a third movie.

Unlike other spoofs such as Blazing Saddles or Airplane, it tries not to rely on mugging or zany anachronisms for laughs, it mainly plays it straight with most of the jokes coming from familiarity with the silly tropes of those old types of movies as well as lots of corny (but mostly funny) one-liners.

I don't think it did well when it was released but I really think that a lot of people on here will appreciate it because I know there a lot of old movie fans who will totally pick up on a lot of the references, especially the boxing movie "Dynamite Hands" about a law student who turns to boxing to pay for his sister's eye operation.

I had a good time watching it and I was surprised that there hadn't even been a thread created for it, it deserves to be better known.
