I was wondering if anybody has or has seen The Usual Suspects on Blu-Ray could tell me how the PQ is on this transfer as well as if there are any extra features on it. It is one of my favorite movies of all time but I haven't yet seen it in any stores.

I saw it last night. Picture is very good and resolution was obviously far improved over the special edition DVD I bought previously. Grain was visible but I am of the opinion that's a good thing. I detected no artifacts or pixelation. I also found the DTS audio to be an improvement over the earlier DVD release.

Order it online if you can't find it locally.

I have it. PQ is very good especially in close-ups. The DTS-MA track is as good as it can be for this film. No extras other than the trailer IIRC.

I thought the PQ was good. Nothing that made we go "woah!" but a solid presentation nonetheless. I enjoyed it, as I had never seen it before BD.

I think there were only 6 or 7 reviews. I'm sure more then that own Usual Suspects on here. There was one really bad review. For everyone that owns it. Really quick 1,2,3,4, or 5? How would you rate it?

I usually agree with blu-ray.com and hidefdigest, sometimes with dvdbeaver. you can trust their reviews, if they point to the same pros and cons, it means something..

Obviously this is one of the greatest movies ever made, but it's first version on Blu-ray is a bit lackluster. I'd say the PQ was about a 3.5 (and I'm being generous) and the SQ was about the same (around 3.5-4).

This is one of my favorite movies ever. And it's a movie that I really want special features for. And I don't think the Blu-ray even has a commentary. I don't own it on blu-ray yet, so I'm hoping a better version will be released.

What are you talking about? It does have special features, the original theatrical trailer.

Fox/MGM went above and beyond for this particular release. Same as a dozen other titles they've released in the last year and a half. They're definitely banking on us double dipping for many of these titles. But, the only way I'll buy The Usual Suspects again is if they remaster the picture.

You'll be hard pressed to find a better screenplay then the one this movie has. It is incredibly cleverly written, and thus the reason it won an Oscar in that category. You owe it to yourself to check it out.
