Everything is rip off man, I just went to the cinema to watch Ironman and they were charging £9.00 for two cokes and popcorn for 2. It was already £7.50 to get in already.

You got off lightly; just cost me €24 for tickets, and about €15 for "goodies".
For our American friends that's over $60.

And yes, the price of BDs here is outrageous, and is why I buy all mine from Amazon.com

* Do note however that all these price comparisons are greatly skewed by the current exchange rate (weak Dollar, strong Euro)

** Iron Man was great by the way

Yes, it's ridiculous.
And how about (the equivalent of..) :
$9 for a bottle of beer
$6 for a coffee
$7+ for a gallon of gas
$1600/month for childcare for 1 child
$1.60 for a can of Coke

Man that is so wrong. We have it pretty good in Australia with personal import limits before customs ($500).

If it wasn't for those evil hosting ****-sticks at Fox region locking everything and not releasing the proper editions locally, I wouldn't have much to complain about. I should just buy me a Japanese PS3 from Play Asia...

Yeah, I get hit with Customs most times now (after getting away with it for YEARS), but I'd usually have probably 5 or 6 Blu-rays per order, so €20 spread over, say, 6 titles is still much much cheaper than buying here.
