Default Anyone like the DS2 as a remote?

I was going to buy the official remote but to be honest the DS2 is much easier to handle in the dark. You can feel around the buttons alot easier than reading labels. Does the remote light up?

I think the DS2 does great myself. Only prob is if you sit near it, it can accidentally push the trigger buttons in.

That's why I always press down the PS button once the movie has started and turn the controller off. If controls are needed during playback, it only takes a few seconds for the controller to turn back on. And, at the same time, I save battery life.

Sometimes the simplest of solutions are the most difficult for people to understand. I'm not referencing the OP in this thread, but several threads in the past about "hating the DS2 controller as remote" discussion threads that were quite pitiful in nature.

I enjoy it. I do the same thing as the poster above me. Once I start the movie I shut the controller off and if I need to get up to pause it, it only takes 5 seconds.

It's pretty good actually. I did get the official Sony remote though, and I do prefer it to the DS2.
