I know the war is basically over but reading the following article on page 6:
http://redigitaleditions.com/ActiveM...rStyle=WithPDF Supposedly the "success" of Star Trek on HD DVD is leading to subsequent high-def releases of the series (of course I assume before Warner announced Blu exclusive). CBS says they are predicting that Star Trek: Season One will reach 100,000 units sold. That Momentum led them to the conclusion they need to release all the seasons on HD-DVD (again before the Warner bombshell). My quesiton is this, I seriously thought this Star Trek Season One bombed (selling under 3k it's first week). A big boxoffice title has a hard time getting over 100k and they claim an expensive set is or will do it soon? Where do they get this 100k units sold from? I'm just surprised this actually sold that well......or is this another "Transformers sold 190k week one" numbers? |
