that chart is no where near acurate

here is a chart of the studios market share

They do, you're looking at the 'Other' section, which is a mystery, just doesn't line as we'd want it .

that is year to date of media sales i for YTD up to the end of the 3rd quarter. The % can change a bit (depending on blockbusters of the year but not much and less and less with each quarter

you can get all the charts

for example
mid year it was

and 1st Q


and last year


so I think the HD DVD side is less the <25% and that, unlike the original graph, Uni and Paramount are no where near as big as WB (as portrayed in the original and more like around 1/2 as big

Someone with time on their hands could derive plenty of interesting stats from this as well:

E.g. I make it that out of the top 50, 37 are from Blu-ray exclusive studios, 13 from HD DVD exclusive, so Blu-ray wins 74:26 for the top 50 grossing movies of 2007.
