Holy %$# - I believe the expletive is warranted, since I'm amazed that this obscure & extremely underrated Peter Boyle film is actually coming to Blu. I never thought this would happen.
Joe is an amazing film. Great portrait of the early '70's era. The tensions between the young hippies & the older, middle-aged conservative adults/parents (with diametrically opposing viewpoints) is extremely well depicted here. The early scene [Show spoiler] Peter Boyle & a young Susan Sarandon were great in this, as was the other middle-aged actor who played the lead.
