Similar to Panasonic's Plasma Concierge and Sharp's new Aquos Net support/marketing services, its good to know we can get help with any HD questions we're having, like "What do you plan on doing next so that my HD DVD player doesn't end up gathering dust in the basement next to my Betamax?" Call 1-888-MY HDDVD for answers.
Will anyone call this number just to see what they have to say? LOL

Its a 101 FAQ of how people can still make use of their HD DVD's

1) Bring a splash of colour to your home theatre area and use them as coasters in you decor;

2) Pop them in a bag for your next outing to the beach for a game of frisbee with the little one's or a game of fetch with your dog.

Concierge: "Hello... this is your M$AV$ HD DVD Concierge... my name is Amir... how may I help you"?

Customer: "Yes, could you give me an address where I can send back unopened HD DVD movies for a refund"?

Concierge: "I'm sorry... we are not supporting refunds at this time."

Customer: "What kind of customer service warranty is this... you will not accept unopened movies for refund"?

Concierge: "Our customer service department defines this an Arkansas warranty sir".

Customer: "What in tarnation is an Arkansas warranty"?

Concierge: "If it breaks into two pieces... you get to keep both halves sir. Thank you and call again"... click.

LOL, first thing it says is:
"Thank you for calling the Toshiba HD DVD customer care line....due to the overwhelming interest in HD DVD you may be on hold longer than normal."

Or is it that there is only 1 person there now, and she doesn't want to talk to anyone.

Yes. It's a suicide hotline for people who believed Toshiba's crap.

I guess they want Canadians to remain "confused".

So I just called the hotline and was able to speak to John. After telling him that I was interested in purchasing a HD DVD player ( ) I stated my concern that with the announcement of Warner that it would be a bad idea. John "comforted" me by saying Warner will continuing putting HD-DVD's out until May and that they still have many LEADING independent and major studios that are behind Toshiba and HD-DVD, most importantly they have Microsoft. He also stated that for them the war is far from over
