The film is set to be directed by Baltasar Kormakur (Everest) and is based on the true story of Tami Oldham, who was knocked unconscious during a sailing trip with her fiancé Richard Sharp during the largest hurricane in the history of the Pacific Ocean. She has to save them both with no way to communicate or navigate. The story reportedly looks back on their relationship as she attempts to save them on the 1,500 mile trip to Hawaii. Woodley and Claflin will play the lead roles. The script was written by Aaron and Jordan Kandell (Disney’s Moana). The film is shooting now.
