Another recycled middling Universal master. Sigh.

You don't know that. If it's anything like the recent/newer anniversary editions of The Breakfast Club and Spartacus, it could be a new transfer.

Have a little faith.

Awesome. At least it'll be cheap!

All these Walmart exclusives now, and they mean online exclusive as I've never seen them in a store. Guess I'll have to give in and make a Walmart account here soon.

Strange, I've seen every single exclusive in multiple Walmart stores here.

Walmart's stock is very dependent on local demographics and sales. I live right on the edge of urban Philly and suburbia and both my local Walmarts barely carry BDs at all, let alone exclusive catalog titles.

They'll be wide releases later on.

I can confirm that here as well. The more urban WM in the area didn't have any of the exclusives and locked the dvds and blus in glass cases for the longest time until a couple of years or so ago. I think VCR combo players are still a big seller there, too. That particular store's a shopping hassle since they often turn off the self checkout machines and have the door greeters check your bag and receipt on the way out.

Why does Universal feel the need to create such horrible cut-and-paste art when there's perfectly fine original art already available?

I bought Brewster' Millions and Major Payne in my local Walmart. You can get them shipped to your local store if you buy them online

At this point I'd settle for the original mono track. The new sound effects on the current BD and last DVD are atrocious.

That's what I'm waiting for.

Hell, ship 'em off to Shout if necessary.

I thought the sequels were terrible and so I wouldn't buy those, but enough people like them and so they should get a release.

Instead of releasing the film again with probably the same master, Universal ought to release another Burt Reynolds movie called "Stick" on blu-ray.

A Smokey and the Bandit, Part 3 (1983) Blu-ray would be nice considering it never got a 16x9 enhanced anamorphic DVD release. The transfer in the Franchise Collection Pursuit Pack is 2.35:1 non-anamorphic letterbox (4x3)
