Wink Sold a Blu-ray player @ Circuit City (no, I don't work there)

So I dropped by CC today to sort through their $8.96 video games for deals (got Def Jam Icon... the last PS3 title they had left!).

Anyhow, as I headed to the register, I noticed a guy talking to a youthful sales rep in the Blu-ray/HD-DVD aisle. (For the record, my local CC's BD section is 2x larger than their HD-DVD section.) I overheard this guy telling the rep how he might buy a Blu-ray player, and I immediately dropped in with, "Do it. You won't regret it."

20 minutes later... he bought a Samsung 1400, and was considering also getting a PS3. Not bad for a dude in his 50's!

As a side note, the CC sales rep was very pro-Nintendo Wii. He also knew nothing of either hi-def DVD format because he was under the assumption that the Xbox 360 could play both Blu and DUD, so he got a little "education", too. I ended up being 10 minutes late meeting my wife for lunch, but it was well worth it!
