Just received my new Sharp Aquos BD player after buying a 42" Aquos LCD. Has anybody had problems such as "Reading Disc" after inserting a BD? I inserted it and it just keeps reading disc. Also, Pixar Short Films BD has no sound. I returned the disk for another one at a different Best Buy, and still no sound. I have the lasted Firmware, but still having some issues. most discs do play with incredible Audio/Video display, but some are giving me a problem.
Anybody having similar experiences? If so, any ideas what to do besides smashing it!! ![]() |

Did you not have another post on this topic? you asked for help and looked like no one replied right away so you asked again? I just responded to your first thread and have to agree with the first response here. More times than not, it is a update that is the issue. Go and update your system, though it is new, they don't update at the factory. Once these are manufacturered, they sit in box until a customer gets them so are out of date.
Sounds like this is the problem so give it a shot and if that does not work, write back and let us know. |

thanks guys, but my current firmware is the same as the update. BD-HP20U Firmware Version HU7103100. Seems it's only disks made by disney or pixar. I'll contact Sharp. Will update the forum when it's resolved.

Speaking of a the 42 in. Aquos has anyone heard about a faint gray or like distortion line running down the dead center of the screen? I noticed it the other day and now I can't not notice it. Very subtle but very apparent when the background is a bright solid color. Any tips or ideas or anything?
