I'm so new I smell funny (okay, that's not actually why I smell funny, but that's an entirely different post...) and I can't post a new thread anywhere but here yet...

I found this on the zip.ca forum and thought I'd share...

The Top 10 Failed Countermeasures To Destroy The Blu-ray DVD Format:

10) Bill Gates purchased the entire world supply of blue paint, hoping to cause Blu-ray DVD prices to skyrocket!

9) Super Elite XBox 360 shipped with 8-track tape player.

8) Imprisoned and tortured the Blue Man Group until they revealed the Blu-ray DVD secret ingredients.

7) Developed new DVD format called Navy Blur-ray that was worse than VHS quality.

6) Hired private investigators to prove that all of Picasso's Blue Period paintings were actually painted by a crazy monkey!

5) Microsoft offered free downloads of new online tv series called "Everybody Hates Blu-Raymond!"

4) All HD-DVD's were fortified with Vitamin C!

3) Paid Osama bin Ladan lookalike to announce that Blu-ray is the official DVD format of terrorism.

2) Microsoft asked Oprah to start an HD-DVD movie watching club, but Dr. Phil advised her not to.

Sometimes the truth can be more humourous than fiction, and so:

"Secured exclusivity from Paramount."

Yeah, that should definitely be number one on any top ten list of failed countermeasures to destroy blu-ray.
