Canada Wading into 4K... Any and All Advice Accepted!

Hello all:

My 45th birthday is next week, and in celebration I'm finally going to upgrade 'Theatre Dunc' to 4K. Yay me!

I plan to replace my trusty old Denon with a new Denon (AVR-X6500H) and my old projector with the Sony VPL-VW285ES. Already have the Apple TV 4K.

Where I'm less certain is a 4K disc player. My initial thought was the Sony UBP-X700, but then started thinking about higher-end...except so many of those high-end players (e.g. from Samsung) don't seem to offer DV or HDR10+.

Do I need one to handle DV and HDR10+ if the Denon can do that processing? I've read that a good tone-mapping television can render moot the need for the player to do it, but what about substituting the receiver in lieu of either the player and projector? From my extremely modest knowledge of HDR it seems pretty important to have the best tone-mapping bells and whistles in place given the low nit output of even a good projector.

Thoughts? Recommendations? Insults?? . Undying gratitude for any. Well, maybe not the latter...
