I love this movie. I never thought it would make it to blu-ray. I'm so happy that it did! Can't wait to get this classic western!

This is a good one but would also like WAC to release the 1968 Ford flick Day of the Evil Gun .

If only I'd known the BD was coming out, I wouldn't have rewatched it for the gazillionth time on DVD a couple of months ago!

Glenn Ford is one of my all-time favorites actors and he's been in a load of (in my opinion) excellent movies at MGM.

I'd also love to see Ransom!, Time Bomb, The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, The Last Challenge and Day of the Evil Gun on BD.

And I'm kind of surprised Blackboard Jungle hasn't been released yet, considering it innovated the teacher-reforming-inner-city-hoods subgenre. And I actually think it's among the least naive of its ilk.

I want that title in particular so bad. Has an incredible score by andre previn, and although a bit soap opera at times, I really like the arch of the main character, and ford is really good, plus minelli's colors shine full of life, it'd look fantastic on 4k or a good 4k restoration on BR

I couldn't agree more. Glenn Ford is one of my all time favorites. I'm hoping Warners will give us Torpedo Run on blu-ray one of these days.

Him and Ernie Borgnine had good chemistry on the screen together. Both in this and in Jubal.

Nice site review, but I think it makes it to 4 stars and not just 3.5.

It was close as I mentioned in the review, but I try not to get too hung up on star ratings. Besides, I am a bit stingy with those by default but anything 3.5 and up is A-OK in my book.

What a brilliant movie this is, very advanced and nuanced for its time. Really liked certain aspects that set it apart from most westerns of its time. The transfer, as always with WAC, is great, I mean these movies look like they just premiered, its incredible, but Ive got to say the lack of extras in this one in particular is painful to me. Imagine an AC with glenn ford, or any type of in depth analysis and discussion.

Because of that, although no one will ever top the quality of this transfer, I hope indicator or any other company can release this so we get the extras this brilliant movie deserves.

but yeah, had a brilliant time watching this, goes like a charm, less than 1hour and a half with no fluff, which is something modern directors could take note from

Glenn Ford and Broderick Crawford always make for some fine entertainment. John Dehner and Noah Berry Jr. are great in their supporting roles as well - and as usual.
