HDD getting desperate for reviews?

now they are reviewing imported movies????

i don't frequent over there often, but ive never seen this before. they always seemed to alternate reviewing blu-ray movies and hd dvd movies, recently its been more like 2:1, but now they are doing imports just to keep up with blu-ray.

They've done a few imports before.

They've reveiwed HD-DVD exclusives that were released overseas in Blu too. They're not desparate now, unless they were desparate then.

BTW this disc look awesome on Blu-Ray. I don't know what the problems his with the OP/Reviewer, but it's Tier1 material for sure....

They reviewed my import of Face/Off on Blu-ray in October and I still am getting told the review will be posted "in a few weeks" - I got the disc back from Kenneth in early November!

I think they want to review HD DVD imports but not Blu-ray ones.

I sent it to them so they could review it at the same time as the Face/Off HD DVD, but I guess...who knows? With Resident Evil getting reviewed at the same time I'm starting to feel like a bit of an ass for offering it to them in the first place.

those guys have an hddvd bias they would review any thing on hddvd " bill climbs a hill,cathy buys some shoes and gary feeds his dog " all big hits on hddvd. Why don't they just give up on hddvd.

DVD Talk has random hi-def reviews that show up on the top right of the page while you're browsing the forums. Almost every one is blu now

To my understanding they review imported movies if someone will ship it to them to review, then they will return it (obviously).

So if you want more import reviews for Blu-Ray import some then ship them to High Def Digest. A problem may be region coding, maybe HDD doesn't want to take the chance of obtaining a disc that is the wrong region. HD DVD never had that problem.

LOL, and it's a BD exclusive in USA.....
but they've done some import in the past (a Blu-ray from France)
