PS3 Audio Issue for both Games and Video - Blu-ray Forum

Alright, so I realize that the audio sounds terribly low when playing games and bluray, at least compared to my 360 and TV. Now, is there a way on how to make it sound louder?

I have it connected directly to a TV, LCD Philips 42inch 1080p FULL HD w/ HDMI.
I Currently have it connnected through HDMI.

NOTE:

When playing Bluray i put the audio to bitstream, and it sounds a lot louder. But i am a lil worried that it may damage my TV's speakers. So I don't know if it's best to leave it like that. Thanks guys.

Strange, I too got a PS3 connected to an Philips HDTV through an HDMI cable and I don't have this issue

isnt the audio low? like it sounds good when its on the menus, as you going through left and right, or even when u highlight a game under the game menu thingy. but playing a game and playing bluray, it sounds so low, although bitstream made the volume much higher

Fiddled with sound settings? Try the auto setup again then manual changes if the audio is still low outside of the XMB.

im still having problems. Does anyone uses HDMI and have the audio run directly to the TV?

At least you can share exactly what u have.

never mind guys, i fixed the issue. i pretty much took out dolby digital and only set it to 2.1 highest herzt

I am still having this issue. I run my sound from the PS3 via Digital out straight to my home theater receiver. I paid good $$ for my Surround sound set-up and do not want to have to give up my Dolby setting and switch to 2 channel output. Anyone know of another fix for this problem because it is very annoying.

Samsung Aquious 32" LCD
PS3 60gig--running HDMI for video and Digital out for audio
Sony 5.1 Surround Home Theater
