Demo PS3 games with highest Audio Video Quality! - Blu-ray Forum

So here's the gist of this thread. Recommend PS3 games that show off the PS3's video and audio quality - apart from it being a great game to play to begin with. Don't recommend lousy/mediocre games with great graphics and audio.

EDIT: Demo-quality games.

1) GT HD - It looks great and sounds great. It could be great if I knew how to play it well. But since it is free, might as well download it; this is the only reason why I'm recommending it.

2) Resistance: Fall Of Men - played the game. Looks okay (as in not realistic/CGI great) but the physics engine is pretty cool. Playing it in 5.1 surround in PCM is an immersive experience!

3) Ridge Racer 7 - Not my choice but it is eye candy. The sound is not as enveloping but oh well.

Hey,

I also heard about supurb sound from Resistance, but I still don't have that receiver yet so I'm not sure myself haha. GTHD has the best picture out of all the games I've played so far.

Resistance has 7.1 sound if you are running HDMI to your receiver.

GTHD Demo has great graphics.

I thought the US Motorstorm Demo was 720p?

I want to say Gengi because it looks great, But its a mediocre game.

Did I miss something? I thought ALL PS3 games had to be 1080P. Or is this just because it's a demo?

The Japanese version of Motorstorm are 720p; it says so on the box. So is RFOM.

The demo version of Motorstorm that I downloaded is only 480p.

I'm pretty sure the Motorstorm I downloaded was 720p. I could be mistaken.

Yeah I loaded up Motorstorm just now and my set reported it back as 720p.

Anybody know how to DL from the US store?

I think you have to set it up as a different account with the location being set to USA.

No all PS3 don't have to be 1080p they just can be.

The only 1080p games are NBA live 07, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Ridge Racer 7. The rest are 720p

Yeah, you make a new account and I'm pretty sure you say your location is in the US. You can also do that to get some of the games Japan has and US doesn't.

Ridge Racer 7's another highly polished title like Resistance, if you're a fan of attractively designed menus, you'll be in heaven with RR7:

SS1 | SS2

flOw and RR7 support 480i/p, 720p & 1080i/p.

My mistake. Or at least the cable's mistake. Or something. I don't know. The store that the PS3 is on had the HDMI signal split into two. So initially Motorstorm were 480p. Been fixed now to 720p

Got Ridge Racer 7 playing on the Ruby in PCM sound. Nice looking but I'd rather the gritty bumpiness of Motorstorm.
