Lowering the damn prices!

no offense, since im a huge blu-ray supporter, but cmon give us some deals on the movies(New release). i know we get the high def pic and sound and it is worth it.

but if they want EVERYONE to convert to BR they neeed to now compete with Regular DVD Pricing, i mean $34.99 for Rush Hour3 on BR but i can get a special edition for $15

they need to start having a default New Release price on stuff when they come out, maybe $20 for new releases and THEN they can hike up the prices

It's coming, it's coming. I bought The Matrix on DVD at the end of '99 for 27 bucks, man. I think I can get it for free now...

I agree, the prices right now are a little high for my tastes. I am just going to wait for deals until the prices come down.

I hope they go down. When HD-DVD was around, the playing field was polarized between Blu and Red. After Red is gone, it's going to be a royal rumble again, with all the studios competing against each other... so the prices should go down. Also, since Blu won, there are going to be more Blu foundries... lowering the cost of each BD.

It took DVD a long time and wide spread adoption for the prices to drop. We will see the same thing once there are more Blu players and the market is a little more stable and profitable. It has only been a little under two years in the life span of Blu so far. I want cheaper prices too, but I dont really expect it any time soon except in the form of sales and BOGO's.
