there is one available if you are a retailer at blu-raydisc.com. It's a pretty cool demo piece, however it shows a few movies not available yet.

Here are some great Discs for Calibration, etc. I am not sure what kind of demo material you are looking for but certain movies like Ratatouille are ecellent reference discs

I just gave one to xtop ... It contains Finding Nemo (Nemo looks bangin'!!)... atleast version 2 does. And the site was actually blu-raydisc.com/retail ( I think, I can tell you tomorrow as I got a mouse pad from them *good quality* and it has the addy written on it) and its gone now as they arent giving out any other promotional items.

Oh, and to clarify bud, its the "Step into Blu-ray" type demos you see playing at Best Buys and such but most of the places play the old demo as opposed to version 2 with Nemo ... least, that I've seen.

In a nutshell, they dont offer these online anymore as they dont feel they need to promote blu-ray in this manner anymore (I would assume) OR ... and probably more than likely they were getting alot of consumers trying to get the stuff as opposed to retailers and installers.

pinoy hit them up bigtime ... think he got like damn near 10 discs or something and tons of other novelty items.

ps. If someone wants one really bad then you may be able to track down the first one I got rid of here like a year ago. I traded it to jrchisholm I think I saw him trying to get rid of it at one time but dont know if he ever did.

I've gotten a couple on eBay: one made by Pioneer (to demo their Kuro plasma displays) and another made by Sony ('Experience Blu'). The discs are meant for in-store display and are not for sale to the general public. Video quality on the Pioneer disc is exceptional, while the Sony disc was just OK (not appreciably better than a typically good Blu-ray disc). I've seen a demo disc from Panasonic in stores with great visuals--this disc has also been on eBay a few times, but at fairly high prices, so I haven't yet sprung for it.

Just do a search on eBay for 'Blu-ray demo disc' and you'll find quite a few for sale.

You bet.....its called Transformers......they dont include the instructions, but the instructions are to push the movie to the 1:42 mark and then turn up to reference level (TrueHD)........leave at this position for 30 minutes or until your head explodes whichever comes first and then you are done!
