Default Blu-ray HD vs SD DVD Demo Disc?

A while ago I went into a circuit city and saw a 50in TV using a blu-ray player with a side by side comparison of the same movie in Hi-def and standard. It had a scene from kingdom of heaven in it and also what looked liked a Knight movie. Later I went to best buy and asked them if they had it and if I could buy a Demo Blu-ray disc there. The answer was no.
I was wondering if there was a site or store where you could buy HD vs. SD demonstration blu-rays?Thanks in advanced for any help .

Default yes...

ebay. they're on there. cheapest i saw was 40 bucks US. but its no like i was looking for them. it just sort of caught my eye as i was looking for movies.

Why the hell would you want that though? o.o

Honestly, at where i work (Audio Video 2001), people ask for those demo disks all the time. we arent aloud to give the out of coarse- but me and the guys always laugh and make fun of the idiots after they leave. "Hey, see that 5 minute looped fish tank thing over there? Yeah... that one! Can i buy it???"

XD

lol... no offence- but honestly...

It's called "Experience Blu-Ray Volume 1" It used to be available from the BDA web site if you pretended to be a business owner, but it's gone now.

Ender, does that bring back memories. When I used to work at one of the Sony outlet stores, great deals of time were passed figuring out new and elaborate ways to destroy those demo DVD and CDs (among other things), my favorite still remains to be the box cutter darts method... no details necessary.

Wish I would have known then too...

I don't necessarily disagree with most of the cynical views on this thread regarding Experience Blu-ray Vol. 1, but I have to say that out of all of the movie Chapters studio's have advertised as "showcases" and all of the scenes listed on threads and in magazines to play in order to wow newcomers to HD and the format war, none have been more effective than I when I pop in EBV1 and see their jaws hanging at its end.

I have it also, the side by side thing is great but the whole thing is like six minutes long.

A new one with more recent movies would be cool.. I'm thinking stuff like Pirates, Cars/Ratatouille and Spiderman 3.

You can probably snag it from best buy one of these days that they're packed, lol. They won't probably find out until later. However, you'd be depriving other potential blu converts from seeing it and appreciating it.

Just wait for POTC3. Disney included (at least in the European edition) a trailer/ad where they show a pirates scene simultaneously in SD and HD.

I have one if you want a copy. I usually sell them on ebay. However it's Christmas and is the time for giving!

Pay Shipping and Paypal fee and it's yours.
