Default Problem BD: Enter the Dragon

I bought the Game of Death BD(Reg A) at amazon.com about two years ago. I watched it twice with my 60Gb ps3. About two weeks ago I bought a Panasonic BD60 and tried to play the disc. The Pana wouldn't play it and prompts ünsupported format"." I loaded the disc to my ps3 and even it can't play the disc anymore. My friend's Oppo BD83 can't play it either

The disc is pristine (free from scatches, isn't warped or cracked). Are there issues about this disc encoding that somehow caused player manufacturers to drop support for it? I hope some experts here can provide explanations. Thanks a lot.

Sorry to say but I think what you got is a fake. As far as I know, the only Bruce Lee blu-rays that have ever been released were from Kam & Ronson in HK and the Enter the Dragon one fm WB.

I'm sorry, I got it wrong. It's Enter the Dragon, right from Warner.

Dude...
There is a huge difference between Game of Death and Enter The Dragon. The problem you're having is something I feel needs to be studied more closely. Some discs playing initially, then having problems later down the line are being reported more and more. There are more posts on this forum regarding this issue.

I'm sorry for the huge error. I must have been thinking about lots of things. I do not even have a dvd of Game of Death. It's really Enter the Dragon.

I guess I'll have to re-examine my old bd's if they will still play.

Don't what to say about this one, I just looked at Enter The Dragon the other night using the BD 83 and worked fine...no problems..

According to the site it should be VC-1 encoded.

Agree 100%. This problem has become a daily thing on this website and is very widespread. Blu-ray is the greatest thing that ever happened to home entertainment but it seems that it has a way to go to get where it needs to be. I also have BD disc that once played in all of my 4 BD players and now 5 BDs of Lionsgate, and 3 BDs of 20th Century Fox will no longer play in any player. BD disc are spotless, players are up to date with firmware and still nothing. Bought a new Sony BD 570 player a couple of months ago and all of these disc play fine in it. I personally think that firmware updates do more harm than good because I never used to update any of my players and for some reason I started about 1 year ago, now this problem pops up. I will try and not update my Sony BD 570 player just to see if this helps. I have tried all of the remedys that have come from others on this website but rarely does anything work.

My 2007 Enter the Dragon BR with the 'A Warrior's Journey' doc is now freezing every few seconds during the film, although the special features appear to be fine

All other BR's I've played recently have had no issues.

Have now replaced it with the 40th Anniversary BR.

My 2007 ETD shit the bed years ago. It just stopped playing. At the time, there were no visible signs of damage, discoloration, etc. It was one of my first discs to do that.
