This was a fun legacy sequel with a helluva punch in the third act. Embraces 90’s slashers even further than the original two. Got a wicked sense of humor and Madelyn Cline is sensational in this. Was not familiar with her game.

She has enough for this story. Not matter what the advertising is selling, understand, this is still Julie James’ franchise.

Steelbooks used to be a side product, you'd get the standard version with the normal artwork and the steelbook would be artsy or a little more experimental or minimalist in comparison. Now they drop the standards but continue to do the same artwork choices for the steelbooks... and they often look terrible.

I watch horror movies but they're not typically something I rewatch so I was on the fence about buying the first two... now I won't bother. I've come to terms with buying steelbooks for old titles and Disney titles, but I'm not playing this new release stuff Sony's doing. I wonder if it'll have a standard that just hasn't been leaked/announced yet, like how some WB and Universal titles are.

Hopefully this isn't just a steelbook exclusive. 28 years later has a standard 4k. I'd be annoyed if my two first are slips and no other matching one.

Me too. But I would still be annoyed that the third film doesn’t have a 4K edition to go together with the other 3 films on UHD.

True, but even on that blu-ray (although slipless), the artwork is designed to match the slipcover artwork theme of the 4Ks.
