Domino after Warner announced Blu-ray exclusivity

2008-01-04: Warner announce they goes Blu-ray exclusive. Delay all their new HD-DVD releasesand will stop completely with HD-DVD after May.
2008-01-04: HD DVD Promotion Group cancel their press conference at CES.
2008-01-08: New Line goes Blu-ray exclusive. Pan's Labyrinth is the first and last HD-DVD disc from New Line.
2008-01-09: HBO goes Blu-ray exclusive.
2008-01-09: All quiet on Universal front. (And still is...)
2008-01-09: Microsoft announce they are neutral in format war. Amir Majidimehr quits Microsoft at 2008-01-15.
2008-01-10: Paramount delay titles.
2008-01-11: Constantin Film goes Blu-ray exclusive.
2008-01-14: Toshiba have a fire sale on their newest models just like then they sold out the A2 player. No new players announced from the only producer of HD-DVD players...
2008-01-14: Digital Playground said they might go Blu-ray exclusive during 2008.
2008-01-16: Senator Home Entertainment goes Blu-ray exclusive.

To this date have Universal and Paramount not announced any new (or old) titles after Warners announcement.

Venturer and Onkyo have not made any comments or actions yet. They are still selling the rebadged Toshibas but now at a much higher price than Toshiba them self are selling the same or better player.

No company supporting HD-DVD have show their support with action since Warners announcement except Toshiba with their fire sale...

PS. This post was also posted on HDD but was closed after three minutes... The moderators reason to this was the following:

It's awesome to see it outlined like that. One small set-back is the BBC will still be neutral citing the sales of Planet Earth as added reasoning behind the decision, as well as an upcoming line-up of multiple (but as yet unannounced) high-def titles it has planned for both formats in 2008. The BBC is now the only Warner-distributed company to remain format neutral.

I was hoping that Para and Uni would switch really soon, but now I'm hoping that they're just participating in a format wide fire sale.

Unfortunately I just read this...

"Paramount Home Entertainment, which after May will be the only major studio besides longtime supporter Universal Studios Home Entertainment to release titles on the HD DVD format, is expected to announce a full slate of HD DVD titles for the first quarter today (Thursday, Jan. 17) — a slate it was to unveil at CES."

Hopefully no one buys any of these unannounced titles and Paramount/Universal will quickly be forced to release on Blu. If the Blu format was dying I certainly wouldn't be buying them.

Yeah that's lame...whatever happened to the Jack Ryan collection on HD-DVD after they screwed up the collector's edition? I almost forgot all about that.
