Oh wonderful, just in time for the 20th anniversary of the first time I saw it. Michael Gough is my favourite actor.

Been literally decades since I last saw this movie. I think it features Michael Gough's most outrageous performance.

My favorite Michael Gough performance is in THE BLACK ZOO, as the head of the animal lovers cult.

I love this reviewers take (from Time Out)....

"Inept, silly, and ludicrously enjoyable monster movie, with Gough as the mad boffin who injects a chimp with a growth serum, only to see it turn into an uncredited actor in a gorilla suit. Thereafter the ape grabs a Michael Gough doll and heads for Big Ben."

I have been a fan of Herman Cohen since seeing Berserk!, Horrors Of The Black Museum, Trog and others on TV as a child. Here's hoping more of his films get released in the very near future....

Michael Gough's scenery-chewing performance is awesome, and the effects in this one truly are "special".

I love this movie!

The gorilla suit was owned by US based actor George Barrows and he was none too happy when it came back from the UK with holes poked in it to allow the UK actor to breathe!

George Barrows will never be forgotten for his performance as Ro-Man and as Guidance Ro-Man in ROBOT MONSTER.

Watched this for the giant gorilla, but ended up enjoying it for another reason lol

Glad they’re doing this to have something to put next to Gorgo.

Yup, over at the HTF, the Kino insider said it was down for a Dec.3rd release (along with The Magic Sword).

Oh nice. This was actually the first movie I ever (partially) owned. Had a very shortened, edited version on 8mm!

I don't have it (I'm in the UK), but you can bet your life it is. All Kino's are, & there's been a couple of reviews that state it's region A locked. I'm hoping that Network releases a Blu-ray, their DVD release of Konga looks very nice.
