What was the worst Star Wars idea ever?

I love star wars, but you gotta admit, there been some pretty wtf moments in them.

Abandoning the "used future" idea that made the original trilogy so unique. Everything in Episodes IV-VI looked like a pos, while episodes I-III were all shiny.

i actually like that idea.

I can understand that if there was a disparity between the conditions on different planets, but everything was clean. Tatoine should have been a much darker, dirtier place.

Worst Star Wars Idea: making a poll of the worst Star Wars idea.

Just kidding.

The worst SW Idea? Lucas said 10% of his backstory was in Episode I, and another 10% was in Episode II, but he could only fit 60% in Episode III leaving people to fill in the blanks (i.e. Anakin was created by one of the two Sith Lords, either Plageuis or Palpatine). So worst Star Wars idea? The failure of story editing in the prequels.

But, hey -- enough of my yakkin'. Let's Boogie.

I had to vote Jar Jar, but after seeing that list, I wish I could have voted for more than one. I never realized how stupid some of those things were..... I think the second place vote for me would have been the CGI scenes they added to the original trilogy.

George Lucas is a terrible idea as a whole. The man ran out of ideas after Raiders of the Lost Ark. He has been reworking and rehashing his own classics. He cannot think of anything new, so he throws in some CGI and says its been remastered. I would not be suprised to see a Supra CGIed into American Graffiti.

I voted for Hayden. I mean, Anakin (darth Vader) was not that young when he died. Do you get to pick what part of your life you get to be in the afterlife? Yoda and Obi won looked as they did when they died but Anakin was a young man again.

Jar Jar was really not the biggest issue with Episode 1. The midiclorian BS. It is now geneics or whatever. There were more things in that movie. I think I have only seen it once in the theaters and a few times on regular TV.

I want a movie based on the dark horse comics after Return of the Jedi.

i actually believe zero the hutt may have a shot at taking worst character ever away from jar jar.

some facts about zero the hutt

- he is a purple hutt
- he has sky blue tattoos
- he originally spoke huttese like all the other hutts, but lucas came up with a brilliant idea one day and decided zero should speak english and talk like Truman Capote
- he has a big peacock looking feather that he wears on his head

For me, the answer has changed over the years.

The first one was killing Boba Fett...then...about an hour later, it was the Ewoks beating Imperial soldiers with the Care Bear Stare. WTF was THAT.

Okay...so we moved on and years later we got the special edition with all the extra footage we heard rumors about and missed for 20 years.

Jabba uses the term "me boogie" WTF was THAT!?!?!
Greedo shoots first WtF was THAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!?!

20 years later...we were all painfully aware of Luke's relationship with Leia and while the scene was always in Empire Strikes Back, the naughty "get well soon" kiss she gives Luke on the mouth On the falcon after Bespin now creates a WTF was THAT!?!?! In the newly aware fans.

Do I really need to get into the removal of the yub yub song!??!?!

WTF!!!
