Pirates is coming to Blu-ray Disc. We don't mean Pirates of the Caribbean either. It is being reported adult video entertainment company Digital Playground is set to debut in early January its first XXX Blu-ray title.

Digital Playground told CE Pro that Pirates - which reportedly "holds the record for highest sales and rentals of XXX video" - will contain the whole film, plus extras, "in full 1080p." That is in comparison to the HD DVD version, which has the extras in standard only.

When asked why Digital Playground was making the move to Blu-ray after having success with HD DVD, the company said "a lot of people were emailing that bought a PlayStation and they were basically saying, ‘When are you guys going to release Blu-ray?"

Leave it to the gamers to bring some new adult video to Blu-ray.

What is really funny is the original DVD came with an "HDDVD" that was a regular DVD with a 720p VC1 encode. While the 2GB file size limit on the PS3 keeps me from watching the full feature, I copied and played the smaller behind the scenes bit on it no problem.

lol pr0n on bd is old news but stills... to be honest i would buy these but seeing as how i have a 10 year old brother who is constantly looking through my movies (not to mention a gf who does the same) it might not be such a good idea...

like... i wanna know still where to cop these... im in montreal and firstly, the local blockbuster doesnt sell them.. the sex shops i've been in only sell flics that are older than i am (i am 20 lol) and im just not down. i need a reliable source to get them on blu ray (if i do)

I was thinking about picking this one up as part of doing my civic blu ray duty. However in looking at it not only does this look like it had a decent budget but it also looks like it has a plot. Any other time that's a plus. In this instance?

Pirates is actually a great movie and Jesse is a good friend and sweetheart. If you ever thought about buying an adult oriented movie this is a great one.
