Pouring one for you, Joel. We’ve had fun enjoying Falling Down and ripping on Batman & Robin. Either way, you made interesting experiences, good or bad. RIP

Really sad loss, despite probably having more misses than hits, he was quite a varied filmmaker, from campy to straight thrillers. He was never an auteur name, but he never succumbed to franchises outside of his two Batman films.

Schumacher left an entertaining legacy of films that he directed and/or wrote. My favorites were The Lost Boys, Falling Down, and Cousins. RIP

Sad to hear. I still enjoy Batman Forever. RIP

EDIT: I haven't seen it in ages now but I remember liking The Client too.

Besides some of the movies already mentioned, I also really liked 8MM. Nic Cage was perfect for the role. Reading Mr. Shumacher's imdb page, he was a lifelong Batman fan and wanted to adapt Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, but was forced by the producers to make a lighter and family friendly style movie instead. After reading that, I'll blame the producers for Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. RIP.

I will be double featuring Batman Forever and Batman And Robin tonight. I find them entertaining mostly for the outlandishness of them. Plus Ahnuld is awesome as Mr. Freeze.

I saw Phone Booth for the first time just now, and it was a tense movie. Planning to view some of his other work, and Joel is a talented man.

RIP.

R.I.P. The Lost Boys still ranks among my favorite films. Flatliners and The Incredible Shrinking Woman are up there too.

...and I only just ordered Car Wash (Writer) on Blu-ray Saturday, and it arrives today.

I remember seeing Phone Booth in the theater, definitely a very tense experience. Also, this one was written by Larry Cohen.
