Burn Notice Possible on Blu?

I was re-watching some episodes of the GREAT series Burn Notice. I looked on imdb and noticed that while USA Network is a distributor, Fox is one of the producing studios.
Any chance this could be released on Blu sometime down the road? Or would it be HDDVD only as it is distributed by USA?

If i'm not mistaken Universal owns USA Network so the likelihood of seeing Burn Notice on Blu is zero until their deal is over w/ HD-DUD. Which is a shame because it's such a great TV show.

Contrary to what the previous poster told you, just because a show is on a network, doesn't mean that show is affiliated with the studio that owns that company.

"House" airs on FOX, but is actually a Universal production, and is released by Universal.

"My Name Is Earl" airs on NBC (Universal), but is actually a Fox production, and is released by Fox.

There are other good examples like "Stargate: Atlantis" which airs on Sci-Fi (Universal), but is a MGM production, and is released by MGM.

Looking up "Burn Notice" on IMDB.com, it appears you are right that it is a Fox production, and appears to have nothing to do with Universal whatsoever, so it could be released on Blu-ray anytime Fox wants to release it.

Well, now that Fox is owned by Disney, I think it's all but certain that this will never get a full bluray release.

The dvds are fortunately pretty good.

Replying to a 15 year old post and talking about a merger that happened at least a decade after the post was made. Interesting move.

Well, in fairness, I did say "now," meaning obviously that the merger event happened after.

And I'm sorry, but last time I checked, folks discover shows for the first time much after they've gone off air. I never heard of Burn Notice and finally picked up the dvds. I researched hoping for a complete bluray, but had to piece together information to conclude the sheer unlikelihood of it.

I don't see what's so bad about putting a new post here so anyone else who newly comes to the show knows not to wait for a bluray set, and to settle on the dvds.
