Default Keep the Covers or Not?

As you all know some movies come packaged in a sleeve which is a reproduction of the case cover. Just wondering how many of our afficianado's out there keep the sleeve vs. throwing it away.

Toss it. It usually has that "glued from hell" price sticker on it and I personally see no practical value in owning it.

if it comes with it why not keep it?
and he means the slipcover that comes with certain movies (i.e. crank, all POTC's, Cars, Rattatouille, Condemned etc)

The cardboard sleeve that the case slides into. Some movies come in them and some are just shrink wrapped over the standard dvd/bd plastic case. Sorry if I wasn't clear on the original post.

Oh the slipcover, I was confused about the "sleeve". Thanks. I keep them if they are a Disney movie. Collectors prefer to have them.

hmm, I guess I keep them, got the Planet Earth one which is nice, the ones over the Mission Impossible Boxset and Spiderman boxset are a bit crap but I still keep them since they're thin enough not to interfere with the look when stacked side by side. May chuck em though.

They are a very nice idea, but I stick them in a drawer. I like all of my movies looking uniform together

I've kept most of mine, but it honestly makes no difference to me.

Editorial statements aside, I keep them but I don't think they are "cool." They are simply a way for the studios to make their product stand out on retail shelves. What next, clear plastic sleeves to protect the slip cover?

No offense (everyone on this board seems cool), but I don't see why somebody wouldn't keep the slip covers. They are a welcome addition to the discs, and I frankly just like how they look.

I keep all my slip covers. Don't really mind them on a single disc ie. potc, crank, but I love them on the box sets like spiderman and resident evil. It really sets the box sets apart from the rest instead of just being mixed in with the other movies.

You beat me to the punch, Aaron! I thought that it was absolutely hillarious how the OP slanted the survey questions. This is exactly the reason why polls can't be trusted, it's all in how you ask the question! LOL! "Are you a dork who thinks they're 'COOL' and keep them, or are you an environmentaly conscience consumer who cares about the future of our planet?" Comedy gold, people, comedy gold...

except it still has to have the original cases includes... like for example Harry Potter box set that was all whack without the actual cases is a no go

Most of them I toss, except for the big ones that come with the box sets, I keep those somewhere usually.

I agree, I was a little disappointed in the way the discs were stored in the set, but I love special edition sets like these (yes, I'm one of those people!). As long as the discs can be held in place (no sleeves that will scratch my discs!) for protection, I'm willing to accept the loss of matching sleeves in place of something that stands out a bit.

Hell yah I keep them, ive even snatched a couple off movies in stores because a few used BD's Ive bought were missing the slipcovers. I would assume its mostly collectors that save them.
