They are a very nice idea, but I stick them in a drawer. I like all of my movies looking uniform together

I've kept most of mine, but it honestly makes no difference to me.

Editorial statements aside, I keep them but I don't think they are "cool." They are simply a way for the studios to make their product stand out on retail shelves. What next, clear plastic sleeves to protect the slip cover?

No offense (everyone on this board seems cool), but I don't see why somebody wouldn't keep the slip covers. They are a welcome addition to the discs, and I frankly just like how they look.

I keep all my slip covers. Don't really mind them on a single disc ie. potc, crank, but I love them on the box sets like spiderman and resident evil. It really sets the box sets apart from the rest instead of just being mixed in with the other movies.

except it still has to have the original cases includes... like for example Harry Potter box set that was all whack without the actual cases is a no go

Most of them I toss, except for the big ones that come with the box sets, I keep those somewhere usually.

I agree, I was a little disappointed in the way the discs were stored in the set, but I love special edition sets like these (yes, I'm one of those people!). As long as the discs can be held in place (no sleeves that will scratch my discs!) for protection, I'm willing to accept the loss of matching sleeves in place of something that stands out a bit.

I on the other hand think they are ugly and waste space. They really are pointless, especially if they are the exact same as the insert in the case.

Much Agreed, the only one i have is At Worlds End because that one looks nice, but others are rather a waste. I had the Crank slip/cover and i threw it out because it looks just like the dvd/bluray covers, so why keep it.

You beat me to the punch, Aaron! I thought that it was absolutely hillarious how the OP slanted the survey questions. This is exactly the reason why polls can't be trusted, it's all in how you ask the question! LOL! "Are you a dork who thinks they're 'COOL' and keep them, or are you an environmentaly conscience consumer who cares about the future of our planet?" Comedy gold, people, comedy gold...

Interesting observation........and something I didn't take into account when I set up the poll. The reality of it is that I thought just using Yes or No was a little booring. I had no "agenda" in mind when I wrote the questions, other than seeing how many folks keep the sleeves and how many don't.

I save mine. I just like keeping all original aspects of the packaging intact (except for the shrink wrap, of course).

There is something that is cool about them in general. Though, if some movies didn't come with them, then it wouldn't be a big loss. Some seem to be the EXACT same image just printed on the cardboard sleeve to go over the regular box, and to some extent that seems a little pointless (though I still keep them in those situations).

However, sometimes while the basic artwork is the same, the slipcover will have something special added... like being shiney/silver reflective, being embossed, or (like the case of Pirates 3 on BD) have a special pattern on the sleeve. I think these are particularly nice since they add a little something to the packaging that wasn't already there.
