Between Jack Nickelson and Heath Ledger, who do you think is the better joker?

Maybe you should try reasking that question after Batman: The Dark Knight actually comes out.

No way to know until the Dark Knight comes out. Though my gut feeling is it will be VERY tough to top Jack Nicholson.

truthfully, i feel the same way. I've been overloaded no matter where I turn with it, it's horrible. I really feel for his family, and friends. He was a great actor, with what seemed like a great career in the future.

Yeah seriously..the man just passed away. At least wait until the movies out.

I will say that in my mind no one will top Jack Nicholson, but I bet you Heath will be insanely great.

+ 100 points

I was surprised when my said Mark Hamill was the voice of The Joker. I was like Luke Skywalker is The Joker no way.

But Hamill did make a hell of a Joker! Loved that series own all of the DVD sets.

From: Chistmas with The Joker

"Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin layed an egg, the Batmobile lost a wheel and Joker got away"

"Crashing through the roof in a one horse open tree busting out I go laughing all the weeeeeeeee!"

I hate to say this, but I really think this thread should be closed out of respect to today's happenings...let this question be asked after The Dark Knight is out.

It's not deroggatory to the man, so why is this a bad thread? If anything, his death is on people's minds. People talk about things on their mind.

To answer the question, it really depends on which Joker version in the comics you want to see in a movie. There was a time when the Joker int he comics was just like Jack. Look at some of the darker-themed Joker comic representations, and only seeing the trailer for the new movie shows Heath becomes the definitive joker.

Which do I prefer? The one Heath has shown us so far.

I think the timing for creating this type of thread is really bad, so I'm closing it.
