Your first problem seems to be that you don't have a BD drive.

I did some digging on your setup and you may pass for BD playback but you check this link out... http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/suppo.../diagnosis.jsp

The software can check your system out to see if you machine is compliant to handle HDCP.

You may have enough power to handle HD video but you may not be able to play BD discs. I just upgrade from something similar of what you have and I could handle HD video, I just do not have a BD drive. BTW your video card is at the bare minimum according to Cyberlink to run Blu-Ray discs.

First off, you need a BD player.
Second, your monitor should support 1920x1080 for FULL HD
Also, your XFX N-vidia 7600 gt should be HD ready. It should support HDMI as well. If so, then this card is capable of the signal.

So make sure you get a screen capable of the resolution, and a BD player.

Just look at the resolution of any monitor out there. As long as it is at least 1920 x 1080 (most would get you 1920x1200) then it can display full HD (aka 1080p).
Also make sure it has the right connections for your graphics card. If it has HDMI (doubtful) use that. otherwise, DVI.
You could even use an LCD HDTV if you wanted.

good luck.

I am using an iMac, and all i need is the software and bd burner/player. But it is fully capable beyond that (1920x1200 res)

That would be considered piracy unless it is some home shot video footage in which case have whoever shot it down sample to your resolution for your. If you are pirating stuff off of the internet it is illegal, but you would not need a blu-ray drive to view the files on your computer. With BD+ encryption you will not be able to download most of the newer good movies either as there is no way, at least that I am aware of, to copy these files. Then again there are not any places that I am aware of to download Blu-ray movie files at all.

The movie studios need to make money in order to continue to bring us high quality releases. We have several very helpful industry insiders here whose salaries depend on you buying movies. Please do not pirate your movies. Go out and buy them or rent them. Having a blu-ray disc is worth it for the picture quality.

If you import from amazon.com it would be around 800 rupee or so. Maybe more, or maybe less if you find sale. Not sure about local cost, and U.S. is different region player. Also U.S. does not have many Bollywood films. I seem to remember an article about major Indian movie company going Blu-Ray, I will look for a link and get back to you.
