I think we'll see a close total for the top 3 movies.

Dune should still easily get anywhere from $15m to $20m+, probably enough to fend off all other newcomers.

Though it's not a good sign it was on Dolby screens for only about 5 days.

Dune Drops a little, Halloween and NTTD drop very little. I'm thinking all 3 are between $12-20 MILLION

Ooof, what a close weekend. I find these ones more interesting than the ones with the mega-blockbusters hitting.

Obviously hoping Last Night in Soho is a sleeper hit but I’d be surprised if it takes number 1. Dune holding over would be great, French Dispatch has great Screen averages but I doubt it’ll translate wide, Antlers appears to being dumped with little marketing but might see a Halloween bump. I’d be happy with any of them taking the top spot and hoping they all do well.

I am not a fan of the director of Antlers but saw the trailer and was surprised how interested I was in it.

I'm thinking 50%ish. The lack of competition is what fuels it to perform a little better.

I think Dune will clearly be number 1, and then Halloween, NTTD and (maybe Soho) are all close together

I believe Shang-Chi also dropped a similar amount on 2nd weekend, despite lack of competition, so I don't think the competition matters. I see a lot of people still going to the IMAX screenings but even on OW that was only about 1/4th of the total, so it really kind of depends on the regular showings doing well.

Don't get me wrong, if it only drops 50% that would be great.

Dune will be #1 again. It's gotten great word of mouth and those that saw it at home may go experience it on the big screen now. Last Night in Soho may come in a close second, though. I don't see Antlers cracking the top-5 at all. I still want to see Antlers but a couple of friends saw it at press screenings and say it sucks and to wait for a rental.

The premium tickets cost more though, so I think they made up the majority of the box office dollars last weekend.

I have no idea why Dolby Cinema took Dune off and put on Soho. They must have had some pre-existing deal with that studio. Dune is supposed to be getting some of the best performance on premium screens ever, as a ratio to total sales.

Soho has a specifically made mix for Dolby.

WB not giving us Dune's weekday numbers makes it harder to guess the 2nd weekend.

French Dispatch is wide? My theatre isn't getting it.

It's relatively wide but still under 1,000 screens apparently

This seems to be a pretty decent sized release as well.

One of the movies my theatre did get.

------------------

This one has a smaller release and seems to be in some AMCs... not sure about other chains.

Nothing for my theatre.

My Regal isn't getting The French Dispatch. But they are getting some random Amanda Seyfried movie called A Mouthful of air.

I will be seeing Soho and Antlers though.

Academia is getting all the 4DX screens here. Dune's losing those.
