This movie is sooooooooo bad but I loved it as a kid. Saw it recently on TCM and it was hysterical...will likely get for nostalgia and so/bad its good criteria

Shouldn't the title for this thread be The Green Slime (1968) "are" coming from Warner Archive? Such a fun movie to watch. Goofy as hell; but fun.

Man, I was just thinking about watching Kinji Fukasaku's sci-fi films recently and ordered Message from Space from Shout. Will definitely pick this one.

I concur. I can't say this scared me as much as seeing HALLOWEEN the first time (when I was 10), but the idea of a monster that can kill you just by touching you (and by electrocution too.. those bodies were pretty messy for something that is akin to a GODZILLA movie) is pretty scary, being a kid or not. And that scene with the doctor? YEESH!

In fact, it's probably the little bit of grodiness that helps make it stand out as a favorite childhood memory. It's also probably the reason why GODZILLA VS. THE SMOG MONSTER is my favorite of the older Godzillas (other than the first one).
