Just checked, and ALL premium screens for Jaws and Spider-Man: NWH (extended cut) appear to indeed be $3 and change that day only.

IMAX, 3D, Dolby, Screen X, 4DX, XD, RPX, etc.

Millions won’t turn up because they are too busy moaning about cinema prices on social media.

Wow, that's amazing, thanks for confirming it is only $3 for the 3D Jaws too.
I hope theaters get plenty of showtimes or it's going to be a sold out theater...

Is Cinemark also going to honor the $3 day? I hope they also give popcorn for $3 too. I'll finally buy one.
Quote:
Major chains, including AMC and Regal Cinemas, are participating, as are all major film studios. In participating theaters, tickets will be no more than $3 for every showing, in every format.
No word on Cinemark and I don't see any news at their website yet...

Before each showing, ticket buyers will be shown a sizzle reel of upcoming films from A24, Amazon Studios, Disney, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal, and Warner Bros.

Cinemark Theatres
@Cinemark
$3 TICKETS FOR EVERY MOVIE + EVERY FORMAT!!! Join us Saturday, September 3 to celebrate Cinema Day. 🥳

PLUS, enjoy:
- $3 Medium ICEE or Medium Fountain Beverage
- $3 Candy
- $3 Small Popcorn (or upsize to a large for $1 more!)
I just saw a new movie yesterday at Cinemark, and go often to the theaters, so this will be a nice break. I'll finally get a $4 large popcorn with buttery oil. I can skip the drink and just chew gum.

I'll spend most of next Saturday watching 3 movies, enjoying 3 popcorns, 3 sodas and 3 candy boxes. No, one movie per day will be enough, but what a nice deal. Thanks for the announcement.

Here is the Regal version

https://www.regmovies.com/static/en/us/regal-cinema-day

They are offering a limited selection at our local theater that day but I'm not complaining.

Are those the only films they're letting be $3? That stinks. Thanks for the info.

I also see they put a clause in there, saying:
Quote:
Join the celebration at Regal, the best place to watch a movie.
National Cinema Day ticket pricing does not include tax or convenience fees.
When do they ever charge tax on a movie ticket that's not already included? Convenience fees. That's a new one. Regal at the ticket box office, "Well, for the convenience of using our theaters today, we have to charge an extra $3 per ticket."

Agreed 100%.

That's the list for my location. A theater about 40 miles away has the same list plus The Blob. I figure larger cities must have a larger selection.

Our other local spot (B&B) has the 3rd completely greyed out on the booking page.

Regal and AMC update movies and showtimes on Wednesdays. So if you check Monday for Friday, you’ll only see the new or newish releases that day. If you wait and check Wednesday, you’ll see all the movie choices.
