Question Question about Prison Break

I tried to post this question in 2 other forums, but it wouldn't let me, so I just had to choose this one and see if I can get any answers. It it just a simple question:

Since the "Prison Break" season 2 box DVD (SD) has been out for a little while, how much longer before it's out on Bluray? How long was it between the last two with season 1?

If you don't know, please don't guess... OR please give me a link that will step me in the right direction. I tried FOX.com, but their site doesn't have that kind of information. I would like to know how far in advance we can have a list of the upcoming releases. Is it 1 month, 3 months, 6 months???

Thanks in advance for ANY info. as long as it's real and not speculative.

They have not announced anything.

Season boxes come out before the new season, September-ish. At this point it's likely to be at least April-May.

Fox is likely waiting to see what the sales were like over Christmas on season 1 before moving forward. I'm sure season 3 will come out on Blu though.

I'm on the same boat here...looking for ANY SHRED of info regarding the release of Season 2 on Blu-ray.

The first season psyched me up REAL good. I'm slowly easing up to the idea of just buying the regular SD-DVD and watch it upconverted on my PS3, but it just won't compare to the crystal clear picture of the Blu-ray.

I'd like to hold out, but knowing the release date would at least make the wait a whole lot easier .

I don't think you fully understand what I'm asking here. Or maybe you just mistyped... I don't want to wait for Season 3 to come out on Bluray, I'm just wanting to know when Season 2 will be released on Bluray.

How long did it take FOX to rerelease the Season 1 box set on Bluray after they had already released the SD version?

About 15 months

I'm saying that they are likely to go to season 3 before they go to 2, due to the lead tme involved, and the expense of $99 SRP sets (and ones that people don't alrady have sell a lot better).
You'd be well off just upconverting 2

Dude! Thank you for your answer (even though I really didn't want to hear that) and quick response! I will only ask 1 more question...

What about them going back and rereleasing LOST Seasons 1 & 2? ok... 2 questions.. and the new Transformers movie on Bluray?

BTW, I HATE upconverting... it's not even close to the same and I can be patient if that's what it takes.

Lost 1 and 2 will depend on sales. Given that if the strike doesn't end soon, Lost season 4 will only be 8 episodes (probably $39.99 retail, 2 discs), I have a feeling they'd fasttrack a release of 1 to go with it. Season 3 seems to have sold well by my eyeball estimates.

Just understand that doing TV on Blu is horrendously expensive, and the sales at best are break-even for them at this time. That's why there's more concentration on stuff people don't already own, because they sell a heck of a lot more.

PB season 2 upconverts pretty well to be honest, so if you get desperite, there you go. I hope that they get the Blu version out before season 3, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Right now Season 3 is only 13 episodes in the can.

Transformers is owned by Paramount, and will not be coming to Blu as things currently stand. That has a very good chance of changing in the very near future

Might I suggest importing the real Transformers movie from 1986 on Blu-ray from the UK instead?
