Clive Barkers Book Of Blood - Blu-ray Forum

I know this is coming out on blu this tuesday the 22nd, but the ScyFy channel is airing it sunday night at 800pm central. I cant wait to check it out. I bought Midnight Meat Train as a blind buy and wished I could of watched it first. I know most people like it but its just not my type of thing.

I do normally like Clive Barker movies and have really high hopes for this one. At least Ill get to see it for free.

Thanks for the heads up. I read a review and it was so-so. I am not sure what to expect, but I am guessing it will be edited heavily on SyFy.

This one's got a totally different feel from the first... I enjoyed it and having read the story I was sat there throughout going "They'll never put in the scene where she gives the bloke a ummm happy hand" and they did... :lol:

Although Unlike MMT and Dread this one totally feels like it was made for TV

The same folks are also bringing Dread to the big screen and Pigs Blood Blues or whatever that Book of Blood Story is called

Dread was enjoyable though and had one of those Saw Moments where the ending leaves you going OMG!!

yea, i saw this in syfye last night..... didnt watch much of it though.. i read the book last year.... what story from the book is it?? anyone know?

It's the first story in book one, where it sets up what a book of blood is... how they come to be and how a person should not mock the dead.

i dont remember this at all ha... gonna havfe to go home n read it i guess.... i was hoping they would make a movie about the story of the giant person made of of people.... all tied together and they fight another guy.... ha,. anyone know wut im talking about?

Saw it last night on SyFy...didn't really do much for me.

Midnight Meat Train was MUCH better in my opinion, and even that movie was a little too disjointed!

In the Hills, the City? I think that is what it was called. There were some illustrated adaptations done shortly after the books of blood came out. That would be pretty tough to pull off. I heard an adaptation of Pig Blood Blues is in the works, but I don't know what else.

I thought Book of Blood was ok, I just thought it could have been so much better.

There is a short story that I always thought could have been a great movie or TV series in "Book of Blood". It's the one with the apparently stupid guy being tormented by a demon, and waiting for his girls to visit him for the Thanksgiving dinner (or Xmas?). With the stupid guy in question having more than meet the eye in the end

Always thought the short could have been developepd into a full fledged Novel, as it ends when everything seems to be really ramping up with the story...

The Yattering and Jack. They already did this for Tales from the Darkside. I remember it wasn't too good.
