The front and inside art are really nice. It’s a definite buy for me.

I really like that. But unless they're remastering the damn movie, it's a waste of everyone's time.

No just a waste of your time.

People will be buying this mainly for the SteelBook. It's a Blu-ray release that already exists.

It's not a 4K edition either so again a lot of people won't be buying this for the disc.

Now the flood of "why didn't they release a 4K edition? No 4K, no buy" posts should be coming along soon

Oh, i'm sure they will. In droves. But if it's not remastered, it's a waste of anyone's time, whether they care to admit that or not . The existing presentation of PT&A is rightly regarded as one of the biggest steaming turds on the format. This would be simply rolling said turd in glitter. Nice and sparkly, yes.....but it still stinks.

And a remaster is surely in this movie's future (even if just 1080p). Not only is it one of the crown jewels in Paramount's catalogue but there's a remake/tie-in on the horizon with Will Smith/Kevin Hart which only increases its odds of being remastered.

I hope to hell it has been done for this steelbook, but if not, it can't be too far away. We'll know soon enough when they reveal the specs.

Again, I don't get why you say it's a waste of everyone's time...if they aren't buying the SteelBook to watch the disc.

The 5 seconds it will take to order this will be 5 seconds well spent along with the 18 bucks.

Pre-ordered. At $17.99 it's a pretty darn good price. I made the mistake of missing out on the $16.99 The Thing 4K last month won't miss this one.

I'm hoping we get a 4k release next year for the anniversary. It is a nice Steelbook though.

Don't be that guy, Crease . It's a disgrace and always has been. You won't find a single cap of it looking good but let's enjoy a specific exhibit anyway.

Mmmm, smoooooth.

It needs a remaster more than any movie on the planet.

Is it perfect? No. But it's perfectly watchable. I watch it every year. It looks fine in motion. It's not some Predator UHE catastrophe. I'd welcome a remaster though.

Well, we all watch it every year. There's no other way to watch it, so yes, it's 'watchable' more by necessity than anything else. I'll give you that.

Nice looking Steelbook. Far better than the previous BD release that featured a Christmas theme

I don't really care for steelbooks usually. The front and the inside look nice-the back picture is a little odd.

Easily in my top 20 favourite films of all time and just in time for my favourite holiday as well. Been meaning to upgrade from my DVD for a while and now this seems like a pretty good opportunity.
