Four Brothers looks better on BD

Watched this last night...intending to just check out the PQ real quick...assuming it would look much like the great looking hd dvd version.

Wrong....it looked slightly sharper from the opening scene....with deeper colors and improved blacks and contrast.....much to my suprise.

I figured these titles would be basically ports of the hd dvd version....and have since been informed that there MPEG-2 on BD...and VC1 on hd dvd.

There are of course some scenes that look identical....but all high contrast scenes...as well as colorful scenes look better on BD.

Any close up shows slightly more detail than the hd dvd version.

Looks like there will be more Paramount titles on BD in my future if this trend holds up.

This is most definitely a BD reference title.
