Rock Band Mic

I did a quick search and came up empty with this question I have. I've set my RB mic in the accessories settings for my PS3 but it does not recognise the controller when I start up RB. have I forgotten to do something?

I think I just found my answer. I didn't have another controller turned on to run the thing. I only had my drums and guitar actiive at the time. I shall try this tonight.

Yes, you need an active SixAxis or Dual Shock 3 controller to activate the vocals.

The controller is the only thing can control the mic. I tried to use the remote as a controller for the mic last night but it doesn't work.

Hmm, may try remarking that to Harmonix, might be an easy thing to patch out. The controller isn't really needed from a gameplay perspective.

Would be nice to reduce the ambient battery drain.

It's not too bad, my controller has yet to drop from 3 bars over the past few days playing it, with the controller being on, doing nothing. Also, I can just unplug the keyboard most of the time and let it play + charge, but I have a 60gb.
