I was suprised to see a preview for Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Blu Ray on National Treasure 2. It said it's coming "this fall" so one could assume Halloween 2008. This is the first I heard of Nightmare coming out on Blu and was overjoyed as Iam looking foward to this title as much as any. Anyone else heard info on this one?

I havn't heard anything besides what you just posted. That is awesome, I didn't enjoy Corpse Bride as much as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Thats probaly cause Jack Skellington kicks so much ass. I can't wait for this one to be released, I hope the PQ is awesome.

Yea, I found Corpse Bride to be a little boring. The DVD re-release stated to be a 2-Disc set so maybe the Blu will have some nice special features on there. Those Tim Burton early mini films were alright-could include those (Frankenweenie & Vincent)

The footage on NT2 from what I'm told came from the ancient HD transfer they did and is not the rescanned/cleaned up version coming on the Blu-ray

I don't care if they release the dvd again...as long as it's anamorphic.

Disney did not specify what sorts of devices will be compatible to play back the copies.

Additional bonus features in the Nightmare Before Christmas titles include an exclusive introduction by Burton on the Blu-ray edition.

Among the extras in both standard and Blu-ray sets are an original poem penned by Burton that is narrated by actor Christopher Lee and commentary from Burton, director Henry Selick and composer Danny Elfman. Several featurettes are also packed into the releases, including a tour of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride and a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Nightmare Before Christmas. Burton’s short film Vincent also is included.

Nightmare Before Christmas will street as a two-disc standard set ($32.99), one-disc Blu-ray ($39.99) and limited edition Ultimate Collector’s standard DVD set ($179.99). Prebook is July 15.

Awesome find Bangy38!!!! Just wanted I wanted to see--pretty concrete info. That $180 edition has got to be a typo though-what could possibly be bundled in there for that price?

I just found out like 5 minutes ago the release is 8-26 for The Nightmare Before Chritmas
