The original Star Wars in 1977 released on 27 December in the UK where I live, so that's my "real" Star Wars day.

I always looked at the 25th as a sort of Star Wars day before it was a thing. Now every May 4th I feel like Kubrick when they celebrated HAL’s birthday on the date in Clarke’s novel which is different to the date in the film.
