It is happening again...

It is happening again...

Lynch has been teasing a lot lately he's ready to revisit TWIN PEAKS...but in what form? Hopefully something via Netflix, Hulu or pay cable, where he won't be limited by network standards or the fear of cancellation.

But who really knows? Lynch and Frost may just be coming out with Twin Peaks gum, for all we know.

I did think a TP coffee flavoured gum would be the biggest troll in history haha.

I was thinking .. "see you in 25 years"

1991 + 25 = 2016 release!

Count me in for whatever may be released in the future.

I binge watched it for the first time upon its Blu-ray release date and I must say, it is a phenomenal, phenomenal show. One of a kind.

I hate coffee and don't really care for pie either, but I'll happily watch people consume them all day long in Twin Peaks. I hope we're getting another slice.

Bring back Chris Isaak as Chester Desmond and David Bowie as Philip Jeffries and you have a show or movie right there. Throw in Agent Dale Cooper 25 years later with the Man From Another Place and that is really all you need. Cameos by other cast members would just be a bonus.

Both tweets were posted at 11:30 am, the first time Dale Cooper enters Twin Peaks...

Writer/Producer Harley Peyton reportedly responded to a question tonight about the series with "You will not be let down again."

Looks like something wonderful and strange is about to happen!

I don't know how I feel about the prospect. It's been so long.... everyone's either dead or old. And even though it sounds like it would be still Lynch/Frost... how many of these resurrections actually work? They almost all end up being disappointments in comparison to the originals.

The DALLAS reboot worked because they mixed old series regulars with new characters...I suspect we'll see something similar to that.

I wouldn't even expect a continuation...Lynch/Frost may decide to start a whole new mystery - and I'd be fine with that.

Rumors are SHOWTIME is going to get this, so there will be little worry about cancellation or network tinkering.

I think if any new Twin Peaks series or movie comes out of this that this time no suits or production companies will block Lynch and Frosts vision like the first time round.

Hell I'd be happy even if it's another movie. I was never satisfied with the way the series ended. It was way too depressing for me.

Full series, film, mini-series, even webisodes...couldn't care less about the format, just as long as it's actually happening.

Twin Peaks Returns in 2016! Showtime Orders Limited-Series Continuation of David Lynch-Mark Frost Classic

Quote:
Where there’s smoke there’s… cherry pie!
Turns out all of that Twin Peaks revival buzz was much ado about something. TVLine has learned that Showtime has given the green light to a nine-episode revival of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s seminal ’90s drama series. I’m told this would not be a reboot but a present-day continuation — in the same vein as TNT’s Dallas. Also, sources confirm that Lynch and Frost are poised to pen all nine episodes, with Lynch directing every installment.
Lynch and Frost confirmed the news early Monday on Twitter.
