Default Playtime Stats (Drive Club)

I currently don't have the PS5, but I used GOG Galaxy to sink up my PS4 account and I was able to see the Playtime for most of my games, but not for Drive Club. I have the physical copy incase that matters.

For the PS5 users that still have Drive Club, does the PS5 display the Playtime for that game or did Sony remove all of that information since they basically shut down anything having to do with that game.

I'm sure I played a lot of hours, but it doesn't show up on GOG Galaxy, like NBA 2K14 and a few others.

I have Driveclub VR for PSVR on PS4, but it's the only game of all of my games that it has some kind of error message for. Like can't install, or something like that. But that's the VR version.

It's reported the PS5 will play the regular Driveclub game after recent updates for PS5.

As far as play time, once online, it'll show a list of all the games you've played on PS4 and PS5 but honestly, it's not accurate as it's saying I've only played 18 hours of Watch Dogs Legion where I've played easily over 200+ of it.

For Biomutant, it says I played 1 hour, which is total BS, as I've played over 40 hours of that game easily.

So whatever is wrong with the PS5 keeping track of game times, I don't know but it's not consistent at all to be doing stuff like that.

Sony removed Licences I bought for DriveClub & DriveClub Bikes.

Both games are removed entirely from PSN.

Thank you both for the feedback. It was my favorite racing game this gen, just a shame that it's being taken down as much as possible and trouble playing it on the PS5.

The timer being off, I seen it happen for some games. I have 411 hours in The Last Of Us 1, which seems accurate as I play the game every year. Death Stranding on the other hand, in game it tells me I played 67 hours while GOG Galaxy only tell me I played 30 hours. Time played for most of the games seem accurate, but it's likely some games have some issue with the proper time. Like you with Biomutant.

A bigger issue is the the DLC content you bought for Drive Club is gone, can't download it again? So my best bet is just to keep that one on the PS4 Pro? I have the physical disc, but that doesn't include all the DLC and Drive Club Bike expansion I bought.

It stinks a quality game like Driveclub is no longer supported, though I heard the developers themselves wanted the DLC and extras removed, and no doubt the game too from the PSN store since they weren't supporting the game anymore in anyway sadly. That's what I heard so not certain what happened there.

Looks like Driveclub is or was playable on PS5 in 4K, but 30 fps. The bikes look cool.

You can still play them though I take it?

Anyway, glad I bought the physical version, although I never played it. I played the free PS+ version that had like 1 track or something. Hope the patches are still live.

I do have a Physical copy buried under my house along with all other physical games/movies. Would be too much hassle.

That is the only way I could boot up this game. Bikes was a DLC expansion so that’s a no go. Both games are off PSN which I bought Licences for when they were on sale.

Sony should have issued refunds for people who did buy the digital versions.

They are not installed.

I have not had them installed for awhile. When word spread that Sony would be removing them from their Servers, I thought they meant just the online data crap, not the actual games.

So like I said, I’d need the physical PS4 disc to play the DriveClub. Just the “Base Game”
All 300+ DLCs would also not be able to be downloaded.

No good there..

Like I said, both games are history on PSN.
You can play the physical disc.

Wether you can update the game, I don’t know.

Yeah, that really stinks the bikes aren't playable even if they're not accessible on PS5 or PS4 anymore and needed to be transferred. If they were all already installed, they would probably be okay I imagine.

Back on the PS3, I have Test Drive Unlimited 2, and was about to buy bikes for it a few years ago, only to see they're permanently locked off from purchase in the game because Eden Games is extinct as they were under Atari. So that is forever lost to me being able to play it.

Isn't that illegal? You paid for the Digital Versions or at the very least content associated with it, therefore Sony can remove the content from being sold but i've never seen it where people who purchased it got screwed like that.

Usually it should be in your library and still be able to be downloaded. A55holes if true.

Yep

Well Sony musta really hated the devs or something. They pulled both from their servers, took the licenses away from all user accounts who bought it digitally & entirely removed any activity from PSN as icing on the cake.

Yeah it’s BS, not sure how it’s ok.

maybe because the game has licensed contents, they’re allowed to remove them once the licenses expire

One of those situations where a game expires, forever and was only rent-able if it was online only. In this case, they allow you to keep playing offline, but never again able to download the DLC if lost.

Quote:
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that online services for Driveclub would be terminated on 31 March 2020, meaning that players can no longer access the online features from that date onwards. The game, along with its DLC packs and standalone expansions, was removed from the PlayStation Store on 29 August 2019.

Sony has posted an announcement on the PlayStation website stating that Driveclub, Driveclub Bikes and Driveclub VR will be removed from PSN on 31 August, 2019, and revealed that servers for the games will be shut down for good March 31, 2020.

While all the online features and modes will no longer be available, players will still be able to play the single player offline modes if they own the games.

The post lists what will and will no longer be accessible to players after servers have shut down in 2020:

You will not be able to:

- Use your season pass online.

- Represent your Club online in Multiplayer events or tours.

- Play online multiplayer and compete in challenges.

- Create your own events.

- Compete in leader boards, or share stats and player progress.

You will be able to:

- Use your season pass on all single player and offline modes.

- Continue to play all game (DC, DC VR and DC Bikes) and DLC single player functionality in offline mode.

- Earn Trophies in single player/ offline mode.

Sales for the games will also come to end from the 31 August, 2019, so if you’ve been wanting to rev your engines and get in on some speedy racing action, you only have a handful of months left to pick it up.

Driveclub first hit the roads back when it was released in 2014, and was one of the earlier PS4 exclusives to be released when the PS4 launched back in 2013.

I swear there's a lawsuit to be done here.

Even if it has licenced content, they would only be legally compelled to do what R* does for Digital GTA V copies to remove the expired licenced songs and replace them but the disk version is unaffected with whatever was actually printed at the time of production unless the disk version is updated which you need to do to play GTA Online which will then like the digital version remove such songs.

The whole wording implies people who purchased have access via their Game Library to play it online but can't purchase again if somebody else wanted to. That's the gist and you can only play offline as all servers are now discontinued.

You can access all the DLC and game perfectly fine if you bought it before they pulled it. They have not taken anything away.

Love the wording. Only if you have it all installed on your HDD before the yank.

Sorry but you are the one that is entirely wrong. Hence why what you are falsely claiming has never been reported anywhere when something like that would have got attention. If you own the DLC it will be there as soon as you install and update the game since it was never a store download and was always added via game updates and then your licenses unlock it. They can't sell it anymore because of the vehicle licenses but they have not taken it away from anybody that did own it. All the same as the Forza games, Need for Speed games and other racers that constantly get pulled since there is no benefit of renewing vehicles licenses after a while.
