Judd Apatow is producing the film, which follows The Lonely Island's role in the music industry. The group, composed of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer, are the musical geniuses behind Dick in a Box, **** in My Pants, Lazy Sunday, and Jack Sparrow. Taccone and Schaffer are co-directing the film.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping focuses on Lonely Island singer/rapper Conner4Real (Samberg) after his sophomore album flops. After his failure, he's "no longer the dopest star of all," and in a serious crisis.
