Just a word of warning to anyone who wants to order from this store...

I placed an order on Sunday for $12US worth of BDs and was charged $20US for shipping because I’m a first-time Canadian customer. If I had had a couple orders under my belt, I would’ve been charged only $6US shipping. And they don’t do this for American customers either.

When I contacted the store about it, the attitude was “that’s the way it is, take it or leave it” with no desire to do anything to make me happy. Too bad. I genuinely thought I had found a great new store to order from, and would’ve placed many more orders with them.

Anyway, just something to keep in mind if you want to order from them.

It sounds like the shipping costs are reduced for established international customers. My assumption would be that this is some form of an attempted insurance policy against claims of lost orders due to any delay, potentially leading to chargebacks. But who knows. It seems like a bit of an extreme approach to me, if that is the case.

I bought few times from this seller and I’ve found it’s pretty reliable. However, it’s quite expensive. Try to find the thing you wanted from other online retailers before you buy from this seller.

This is 100% your fault. Their rates are clearly posted here:

https://www.bluraysforeveryone.com/h....asp?ID=12#258

We are supposed to take a warning about a store for following their posted policies? And they are supposed to "make you happy" by not following them for you? Not to mention I'm sure the shipping rate was on your order confirmation screen.

I've never ordered from them personally but this post does not make me less inclined to do so.

Well then maybe this will... I tried ordering from them once for a US Wal-Mart exclusive blu-ray. I submitted my order, paid my money and after two weeks... nothing. I finally contacted them to ask what's up and he responded with "Oh, yeah, sorry, I don't have that in stock" and refunded my money.

Don't order from companies with crappy business practices. Walmart. Amazon. BluraysforeveryoneintheUS. Problem solved.

Again, you got a full refund right? That's not enough either.

Now his prices (I think I saw a slip for $50!) are really what causes me to avoid buying from the site.

Sounds more like to me he's also giving established customers a huge break on shipping charge.

Shipping a single disc from US to Canada -- the cheapest rate is $12. Shipping 2 or more (8.1-32.0 oz) is $20. At least I'm guessing it would be very difficult to get 2 items under 8 oz without sending them wrapped in tissue paper.

Cliff Loker who runs bluraysforeveryone is a ripoff artist .
Canceled part of my order when he seen how much more it was going for .
Asked for the whole order to be canceled since it made the shipping I paid not worth it .
Didn't get a full refund because he said he lost that amount on paypal fees .
BTW what was canceled is back on his site for a lot more than i paid for it .
Buyers beware ....

Yeah, after I prodded him two weeks later. How long was he going to wait before he told me he wasn't going to honor the transaction?

I would venture to guess until you said something!

I've bought countless slips from this company over the past few years. I've never once had a problem.

You’re absolutely right, it IS my fault. I picked my items, went to checkout, and just picked the cheapest shipping option they had—$6. I got a second PayPal request for additional funds, and just thought he would be declining the first transaction and asking for this newer amount. But the first one was never canceled. I wish I had received a pop up on the webpage explaining why the $6 wasn’t correct. I wish that he had sent me an email explaining the second payment. He says he sent it to me but I never received it. If I had, I would never have accepted it; I would’ve cancelled any order with that high a shipping cost.

DVD Josh, you would’ve looked much more carefully into the shipping costs, I’m sure. But myself and many people would see the drop down box and just quickly pick whichever option was cheapest. If it had been explained better on the page where I’m picking a shipping option, that would’ve been helpful.

I also have a problem with him charging first- and second-time orders from Canada $20 for shipping. It doesn’t encourage me to use your service at all.

And why would he not inform me if I’ve picked the wrong shipping option? Either as an email or as a pop up on the site or whatever.

So yes, it was my mistake, 100%. But honestly, I don’t think he was entirely forthcoming or clear about shipping costs to Canada.

And if he can afford to charge $6 to customers in Canada, why is he charging first- and second-timers $20?

This is the first and absolutely last time I use his site. Some prices were pretty high, but some were reasonable. I would’ve gone back to his site again and again, with no doubt. He would’ve made a hell of a lot more money off me in the long run if he charged me $6 shipping.

It sounds like they've had issues in the past with international customers.

I understand your thought process. Personally I think all of his prices are way above board but I understand that our Canadian friends don't have it as good as we do. I wish you better luck for the future.

Another small company that considers Canadians to be part of the "overseas terrorists"?

My package arrived today. Ordered April 5, arrived April 17. That’s ten business days. Decent enough for an order from the US, especially for an outrageous $20US shipping.

The three BD cases were wrapped with bubble and inside a cardboard box. All the discs seem to be fine. Still, never again.

Was thinking of ordering Slip cover(s) from them,

wondering how the packaging would arrive, and the shipping cost that much???
